Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered | 1 year and 9 months old | 65 lbs
in the event my dog was poisoned, how long until symptoms appear? I have a small yard and my dog was eating a paper towel, which is not one of mine and came from over the fence. When I took it from him he growled and tried to bite me, which has never happen before in similar situations. I don't know if meat was in it or anything else. It does, however, smell like glass cleaner.

If your dog has eaten a strange object that you don't know the origin of it is best to seek veterinary care immediately. While some toxic substances can show immediate signs such as drooling, unstable gait, confusion, vomiting, diarrhea, etc, others may cause internal issues such as organ damage that can't be outwardly seen. A complete exam and blood work to check values, especially if your dog ate something strange, is best to make sure there isn't an issue.
