Pet's info: Dog | French Bulldog | Male | unneutered | 3 months and 16 days old
My 15 week old French bulldog puppy ate a bit of mince that fell on the floor last night, he then poo'ed this morning and there was blood and mucus in it? And also the undigested bit of mince? Do you think that's what could of caused it? He's ok in himself and still eating and drinking fine.

If he is behaving normally and eating/drinking, you can monitor him. If you see more blood or mucous in the stool, fast him for 12 hours then feed a bland diet in small, frequent amounts until the stool is normal. Transition slowly to the regular diet afterwards. If he begins vomiting, becomes lethargic or if the stool does not return to normal then have him examined by your veterinarian.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Lloyd! Blood in the stool indicates inflammation in the colon. Possible causes are intestinal parasites, viral or bacterial infections, he ate something gross outside upsetting his tummy, new food/treat/table food, or food allergy or intolerance. I would fast him for 12-24 hours and start a bland diet of boiled chicken or hamburger with rice. Feed 1 cup per 20 lbs until 2 normal stools. Ideally he should see your Vet for antibiotics. Bring a stool sample with you. I don't think his eyes being red are related. If his eyes are not painful just monitor until you have him seen. I hope this helps and I wish Lloyd the best!
