My dog is incredibly snotty (I can hear it when he's falling asleep), has fits of big sneezes, and also episodes of what I guess is reverse sneezing. I've had him almost a year and he's always done this off and on. He's been treated with two rounds of antibiotics in the past few months for upper respiratory stuff. He stopped for a while and it started back recently. Sometimes he vomits which I assume is from the snot? I also give him Benadryl in the morning and evening. Is this serious?

Given that this seems to be a continuing problem with Bentley, I would be wondering if he is suffering from allergies. He may benefit from stronger medications if he does have allergies, such as steroids or Apoquel. It's worth a discussion with your vet to see if this is something that may be suitable for him. In the meantime, since he's congested, you can try using a humidifier or bringing him into the bathroom with the door closed while you take a hot shower - the steam and humidity help to break up congestion and temporarily relieve symptoms associated with respiratory infections.
