My dog has parvo symptoms after exposure. Should I get a booster?

hi we had 3 dogs in our home, one was a puppy that we recently had to have euthanized because of parvo it was too far gone by the time we realized what it was. Our other two dogs that we have in the home we got from someone who could no longer keep them they were very well cared for. the are two years old and we were told that they have had all of their shots as a puppy everything that was required. one of the dogs is now exhibiting signs of parvo what do I do should I get a booster shot for he

Oh dear! I'm sorry to hear that you're having this problem. Unfortunately, at this point it is too late to give either of the other two dogs a booster shot - the vaccine needs to be given at least 14 days prior to exposure in order to be effective, and they have already been exposed. If one of the dogs is now showing signs of parvo, she needs to be seen by a vet right away so that she can be tested for the disease - if the test is positive, your vet can start treatment right away. The good news is, adult dogs usually respond better to treatment and have a higher survival rate since their immune systems are more fully developed, so there is a good chance that she can be saved with prompt veterinary care.
