Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Chinese Shar-Pei | Male | unneutered | | 43 lbs

My Shar Pei has small blister like sores around his mouth it seems to be very itchy and he has lost his appetite and for the past two days has had extreme diarrhea and vomiting he is currently eight months old and current on his shots. He often goes in the woods where we live could this be something he's gotten into or a skin disease

Poor Rocco! I'm sorry to hear that he isn't feeling well. While it is possible that Rocco acquired some type of intestinal parasites or irritation from his exposure to the woods, he may also have developed a condition known as Shar Pei recurrent fever syndrome. Due to the severity of his vomiting, diarrhea and inappetence, a vet should examine Rocco today to determine the best course of treatment. I hope that he feels better soon!
