fatboy finally poop there seem to be string of hair in poop could i give him olive oil and if so how much im going to take stool to vet just in case fatbot my cat went 54 hours without pooping not drinking much but is eating real good pee also this morning strings of hair in poop poop was dark brown a little hard didnt seem to have no pain pooping very active thanks for your help any suggestion are very much appreciate if u cut poop in half there seems to be a little black around the edges insid. Fatboy obviously had a serious bout of hairball. You need to get some hairball remedy from a pet shop or your vet and give it to him as per instructions on the tube. You may also want to get hairball control food provided you feed dry food. And keep him active by playing with him which will also make it easier for him to poop.
