My cat got floor cleaner on him, now sounds like he's throwing up?

My daughter covered my cat in floor cleaner I found out several hours later outside on a cold day i washed it off and since then he has been purring a flemy sound and occasionally sounding as if he about to throw up. He is being affectionate and after the first few hours of cold while subdued appears happy but the sound remains. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered

This is an emergency. Chino needs to be seen by a veterinarian as he may have an intoxication caused by the cleaner. he will have cleaned himself and ingested cleaner before you managed to wash him. Please take him to a vet for an exam and treatment/more decontamination right away. The vet may want to hospitalise him for observation, iv fluids and symptomatic treatment. Bring the cleaner bottle with you as it shows the ingredients of the cleaner.
