Hello! I've Got a question about my 11 day old foster kitten. I've noticed he seems to be excreting puss/ mucus from his penis. It's in about rice grain sizes, and only happens every so often. He also has been peeing by himself, which I know a 11 day old kitten can't normally do. He also seems to eat alot, about An entire kitten bottle full, maybe more. He seems to cry excessively, but when you feed him he's totally fine. Other than that, he's totally normal. another thing is his brother died.

Kittens can have a small amount of discharge that can build up in the prepuce that could be normal, but if his actual urine seems to have pus or look abnormal in any way you should see a veterinarian. If he seems to be leaking urine I would be concerned as well. The formula you are using should have guidelines for amount to feed based on the kittens weight, but as long as he isn't regurgitating or having milk come out of his nose he can probably continue to eat as much as he wants during a feeding. You should weigh your kitten daily as a lack of weight gain or weight loss can be the first sign of a problem. Raising a bottle baby is a lot of work - good for you to be willing to take this on!
