My cat gave birth to only one kitten about 6 or 7 hours ago. Although she has not encountered bleeding or any discomfort but her belly still feels hard and swollen. Does it seem to you that she still holds dead kittens in her womb? Should I worry about a possible death of the mother? What do you recommend for me to do? Thank you... She may have more kittens in her uterus, and maybe one kitten is blocking the soft birth canal. Please take Tuti to a veterinarian right away. This is life-threatening to your cat as well as the kittens. The kittens may still be alive, so please do not wait and see. This is an emergency.
