My cat is dragging his back legs after surgery. Is this an emergency?

My bsh x cat had surgery on Friday for several infected cat bites in his tail he was also nuterd during his sedation..this was Friday evening on sat morning he was walking but dragging his bk legs he is eating and drinking fine and us also toliet too but his legs haven't improved plz help what do I do

This is an emergency and you will need to take your cat to a veterinarian/emergency service right away. There may be nerve damage or the infection travelled up the spinal cord or he may have developed a blood clot shutting off blood flow to his hind legs. Please take him to a veterinarian right now. Call your veterinarian, and there should be emergency information on the answering machine.
