No, I would expect continued bleeding. I would recommend that you follow up with your veterinarian and have her evaluated. She may need an ultrasound or x-rays to determine if she has any remaining feti.

    Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! It is normal to have vaginal bleeding after giving birth. After 48 hours the flow should slow down and small amounts of bleeding is normal. If the bleeding, even if small amounts, is still occurring after a week or it stops then restarts that is abnormal. Excessive bleeding requires immediate veterinary care. Excessive bleeding with a bad odor may indicate an infection or retained kitten. I wish you the best!
