I used an at home ear-mite treatment kit and now my cat is drooling and agitated. Is this normal?

No, this isn't normal, if your cat got to the treatment and licked it somehow that could be the cause, otherwise you might want to take your cat to the ER if he doesn't get better within half an hour.
