My cat was prescribed Quadritop ointment for oral gum inflammation secondary to tooth extraction...I read online that cats should not orally ingest this and this drug has totally different indications. She has had a few doses so far.

You are correct. Quadritop should not be used in the mouth, but only on top of the skin. You should definitely confront your veterinarian who prescribed it in this manner and express your concerns with the recommended treatment. And definitely discontinue giving this. It likely will cause severe stomach upset, so if seen then its best to give your kitty a bland diet of tuna and rice for a few days. If she seems more seriously affected, then its best to express your concerns with your vet for further treatment.
