My puppy has diarrhea, vet meds aren't working, what food?

Pet's info: Dog | Rottweiler | Male | unneutered | 3 months and 3 days old | 25 lbs

Constant diaharea, vet 1st prescribed Metronidazole 100mg 1 cc a day and tried Science diet. At 1st booster appt. 2nd booster he prescribed Vetri-Probiotic 1 cap a day for 14 days (he still has 4 pills left) still no improvement. I then removed all food for 36 hours and started him on rice did ok for 2 days once i tried to add alittle chicken then dry puppy food and and now right back to same problem. He has no other symptoms, except for being hungry. I feed him 3 times a day.

I would place back on chicken and brown rice with an added probiotic/fibre formula such as fortiflora until the stools have been solid for 5 days then try to gradually introduce a high quality food specially formulated for digestive disturbances such as royal canin intestinal or hills i/d. If it recurs again further tests will be required to identify underlying triggers

    Poor Remy! I recommend putting him back on chicken and rice plus fortiflora until 2 days after the signs resolve then slowly introduce a highly digestible formula such as royal canin gastro over the following 10days. A fecal screen to rule out internal parasites would also be recommended
