Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 8 years and 9 months old | 11 lbs
My cat started wobbling and falling down while walking yesterday. It is not as bad right now, but he is still not completely normal. Otherwise he seems normal, eats, drinks and moves around. I called a vet, and he said that if the cat is otherwise okay that I could monitor him. He has been clumsy all his life, does not like to jump or climb. What could cause this sudden balance problem?

Beast could be suffering from a metabolic disease like diabetes that can affect balance and neurologic function, for example. I recommend a full workup if this behavior continues, including blood work and potentially radiographs to look for signs of metabolic or neurologic disease, infection, or arthritis.
