Limping is a sign of pain in dogs, so yes Cooper is in pain if he's limping. It could be that he's suffering from hypertrophic osteodystrophy, which can occur in large breed puppies. It causes a non-infectious inflammation of the long bones of the leg. He could have also injured himself causing the limping. I would have him seen by a vet today for a physical exam, lameness exam, and x-rays. The vet can diagnose what is causing the limping and can discuss treatment options with you. He may benefit from pain medications, which the vet can prescribe. Please do not give him any human pain medications, as many are toxic to dogs and can be fatal if given.

Limping is a sign of pain in dogs, and it's concerning that it's getting worse. That tells me the pain is getting worse. I would take Hendrix into the vet first thing in the morning to get checked out. Best of luck.

Limping is always a sign of pain. This can be caused by arthritis (especially in an old dog), an injury, a sprain , infection, a foreign body lodged in the paw or tick disease. Unfortunately it can also be caused by bone cancer. I suggest you make an appointment with your veterinarian for Layla for an exam and x-rays if needed. If your vet cannot find the cause, at least he can give her pain medicine to alleviate the pain.
