Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 50 lbs
Our vet just diagnosed our dog with an eye ulcer. he done a fluorescein corneal stain, and stated the ulcer has penetrated 2 layers. he offered several options from, corrective surgery, antibiotics administered every 2 hours, or eye removal, wide range of options. we need some feedback please

Surgery is your absolute best choice for the most rapid healing. Second choice would be antibiotic and atropine therapy. I would only proceed to enucleation as a salvage procedure. I have treated many eyes that looked horrible and healed well. It is worth trying!
