My 16 year old cat is being treated for hyperthoroidism. Shes being treated w methimazole gel at 0.1 ml 2 times a day since Feb 14 this year. She started not eating very well since Thursday last week. Her heart is racing and she has been panting for the last 2 days. Should I discontinue the medicine?

No, you shouldn't discontinue the medicine without consulting your vet but you must take her to your vet ASAP as there is obviously a problem, either the dosage needs to be adjusted or maybe she is developing a kidney disease, which is common with cats with hyperthyroidism.
