Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 1 year and 1 month old | 9.9 lbs
My 1 year old cat can often sound like she has a blocked nose. When petting and she purrs I don't hear it but when she's just sitting around I very often hear it. She also gets a small build up of what looks like dry mucus in and around her nostrils. I have no concerns re her appetite or behaviour. Just looking for any advice or information if possible.

Young cats often have mild upper respiratory infections like feline herpesvirus that causes chronic sneezing, nasal and ocular discharge. If possible, you need to get your cat examined and tested for infectious diseases to know what you're dealing with. If it's a herpesvirus, these cats respond to the amino acid lyceine that you can buy at a health food store, or your vet may have a formulation in cat treats or paste form that is much tastier.
