Why is my 6-month-old cocker spaniel's eye red and what to do?

Hello. This morning I noticed that my 6 months old cocker spaniel has the left eye red. What could it be?

Hello. Red eye can be caused from her eyes being dry, from a small scratch, allergies, trauma, glaucoma, uveitis, or other causes. I would recommend getting some natural tears from the store and lubricating the eye with this. If Jo is not squinting, blinking, is eating/drinking, and otherwise seems ok then you can wait a day or so to see if the redness goes away. If she at any point is blinking, seems sore or moves away when you pet her head on the left side, the eye itself looks cloudy, or any other concerns you need to have her into a vet.
