My cat is sick, not drinking or eating after vet. How to help?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

I was wondering what I can do to help my cat stay hydrated ? we believe he has an severe ear infection as it is bleeding and producing some mucus substance. He also has trouble keeping down his water and even drinking water, also hasn't eaten for a couple of days now. We've taken him to the vet and he has given him shots but visibly he hasn't improved yet.

Hello. An ear infection should not be causing your cat to be bleeding or not wanting to eat or drink. It sounds like your cat is very sick. I suggest you bring him back to the vet as soon as possible. Based on what you are describing, he could be very very sick.
