My dog's penis tip is swollen. Should I take him to the vet immediately?

Hello. My dog Bulle has an enflamed penis. The tip of the foreskin is swollen and I don't know what to do. It is the first time this happens. Should I take him to the vet immediately or can I apply a remedy?

Hello! It's important to be sure that it is the foreskin, and not the penis itself that is swollen. If it is indeed the foreskin, be sure that he doesn't lick at it or damage it in anyway. If it does look quite swollen, it would be a great idea to have him checked out by your vet. There could be an infection, in which case some antibiotics would be helpful.

Hi, I would suggest to have him checked over as it looks like he could have an infection. Hopefully it is nothing to be too concerned about but I would not suggest to bathe it or do anything as it could be very painful. Hope Pablo feels better soon !
