Pet's info: Dog | American Bulldog | Female | spayed | 5 years and 4 months old | 100 lbs
My 5 yr old American Bulldog has small scab like spots from the middle of her back along hips and back. They look like a bump. When you gently pick them it's a scab covered in hair that falls off. Underneath looks like a sore. She doesn't like me to touch them. They showed up about a week ago and her coat is becoming "pitted" like where they have fallen/come out. I have not changed anything in her daily routine. She does have allergies that I treat daily year round.

This is the typical description of the skin and haircoat appearance of a skin infection. These infections may be bacterial or fungal or a combination of the two. It is best to have her examined by your vet to determine what kind of infection she has. There are multiple forms of treatment including medicated shampoos, spray on medication and oral antibiotics and antifungal medications. If left untreated, she may lose her hair and the infection will become deeper and require longer courses of treatment.
