Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 4 years and 11 months old
Cat has been urinating very frequently and in places he shouldn't. Peeing at least 4 times a day to my knowledge, probably more. Pees on clothes, backpacks, shoes... anything soft left on the floor. Mom put a shoebox with some kitty litter on the main floor (his normal litter box is in the basement) and he used it twice within the span of a few hours. Also seems to be craving more attention lately (meowing constantly even though he has food and water, laying on me when I'm in bed, cuddling more)

Poor Skunk. Frequent urination and accidents in the home indicate a possible urinary tract infection. Skunk needs to have his urine tested through your local vet and treated with antibiotics if confirmed. UTI's in male cats are uncommon however, whereas urinary blockages are more frequent, so closely monitor him for any straining or inability to urinate, as this would pose a medical emergency type situation. However if he is still able to urinate, not vocalizing when trying to pee and still eating and drinking well, then you can schedule an appt for the next day or two to get him tested and treated. UTI's in cats can be managed long term with dietary changes so discuss with your vet about these if this becomes a chronic issue for him. I hope Skunk feels better soon!
