Pet's info: Cat | Bengal | Female | unspayed
my cat is less than a year old. over the last two months she lost a lot of weight. won't eat properly. maybe eats once in a day and in very less amount. i have noticed over the past two days, she has been reacting to slightly loud noises and hiding under the bed. although she is still very active and doesn't look tired. she hates when we try to cuddle her these days. should i be concerned?

Poor Koyla! Yes, I would be very concerned that she has lost a lot of weight in a short period of time and isn't eating problem. This could be caused by dental problem, a heavy burden of intestinal worms, a systemic illness, infection, injury, or inflammation. I would have her seen by a vet today for this for a physical exam, blood tests, and a urinalysis to diagnose what is causing her weight loss so she can be treated. If she was ill, that would cause her to act differently as well.
