Cat has diarrhea, droopy eye, vocal, stomach twitching. Is she sick?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 1 year and 1 month old | 9.5 lbs

My cat has had diarrhea for about 3 days now and she's being very vocal (which i heard is a sign of her being sick), one of her eyes has been very droopy and sometimes its hardly open at all. Sometimes i notice that her stomach trembles/twitches. She's still eating and running around. Is this something i would worry about?

Yes, you should be concerned that this a sign of a problem for Frida Katio. Even though she is still eating, I am concerned there may be an infection or parasite in the GI tract responsible for the diarrhea. There are some viral infections that can affect the GI tract and the respiratory or ocular tissue as well. A good physical examination with your veterinarian is a good place to start. I recommend bringing a fresh fecal sample from Frida Katio with you because they will want to check the sample for parasite eggs and if they are found, this can help determine what medication is needed to treat the diarrhea.
