My dog is a picky eater. How do I get him to eat his dog food?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | unneutered | 5 lbs

My dog refuses to eat normal dog food, we have tried to find him something he likes but after a couple times eating any dog food we get he turns his nose up at it

It sounds like Oliver is a picky eater! You may have to get tough with him to get him to eat. I would feed him twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. Put his food down for 15-20 minutes, then take it away whether he's done or not. Do not give him any additional food at all during the day. No treats or human food, this is very important. At his dinner time, put his food down again for 15-20 minutes, and then take it away after the time period. He will learn he has to eat what he is given at that time, and he won't get any other food until his next week. He will get hungry enough that he will start eating his food at meal times.
