My dog has a pot belly, bad breath, and bites his butt. Deworm?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | neutered | 5 years and 7 months old | 18 lbs

I am a Disabled vet and I cannot afford or have a ride to the vet at this moment..both of my boys have gained 10 lbs from being attacked by large dogs and recovering 1year ago..I have lowered their food amount but the seem to have these pot bellies, they want to eat all the time except in the morning, it takes them a while. They have stinky breath lately and the rub there faces in the carpet. Russle jumps up and will bite at his butt often..should I dreworn them with a 7in 1 dewormer

I would to deworm them you need to use this one. It is the most broad spectrum dewormer you can buy over the counter. Be sure to get enough tablets for their weights. https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/bayer-quad-dewormer-tablets-for-dogs-2-to-25-lbs You should treat them now and then repeat the dose in 3 weeks. An 18 pound dog would need 2 tablets at each dosing.
