My dog ate macadamia nuts. Are they toxic? What should I do now?

Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Female | spayed | 7 years and 7 months old | 70 lbs

My dog had 4 macadamia nuts. Should I do anything? Or will she be okay?

I'd keep an eye on Annie for now. Macadamia nuts are toxic to dogs and can cause vomiting, ataxia, weakness, fever, and muscle tremors. If you see any of those, take her into a vet immediately. Best of luck.

    macadamia nuts can indeed be toxic in dogs but the amount for toxicity is not fully known, if it has been less than 2 hours you should take her to the vet so they can give her an injection to induce vomiting, they will also give her activated charcoal aimed to absorb the remaining toxins. unfortunately water with sugar will not help at all to detoxify her.
