Thanks for reaching out about your pigeon. Egg binding is a common cause for inability to utilize the legs, if an egg is still in the uterus or has damaged a nerve while passing. A veterinary visit is recommended to assess and provide a diagnostic/treatment plan. If can not stand, remove perches and provide a soft towel on which to sit. Ensure that food and water are easily accessible. Review diet to include vitamins and minerals, best in the form of fresh vegetables. Good luck.

Thanks for reaching out. A veterinary visit is what is recommended, as being egg bound is only one possibility. Birds will often lay every other day, but unlikely egg bound since last month. Nutritional deficiencies, trauma, kidney disease, toxicity and other problems are all possible. Providing heat support in the 80-85 F range can give aid. Remove perches and place a soft towel on the bottom of the cage. Ensure that food and water are within reach. Good luck.

I would seek veterinary care in person right away, as it is possible she is ill or has a nutritional deficiency from laying eggs. Keeping her warm and eating/drinking is best until you can get into your vet for care.

Thanks for reaching out about Sheephony. Has she been laying eggs? Egg binding can affect the nerves going to the legs. Trauma to the legs or back can paralyze the eggs. Calcium deficiencies can lead to muscle weakness. A veterinary examination is recommended to assess and provide a diagnostic/treatment plan. Remove any perches or items that can inhibit movements, use a soft towel for comfort. Good luck.
