My rabbit has been in labor for hours, no babies. Is this normal?

Pet's info: Small Animal | Rabbit | Female | unspayed | 7 months and 22 days old | 4 lbs

Hello, my rabbit went into labor yesterday around 3 pm and still hasn't had her babies, she is a 6 months old Californian and forts time having babies. She is eating fresh foods but not her pellets and hasn't drank any water since yesterday morning also. Is this normal?

Thanks for reaching out about Spot. This is not normal. Is she actively contracting? Usually parturition (birthing) is fairly quick in rabbits since the fetuses are very small. Spot should be seen by a veterinarian as soon as possible to assess and provide a diagnostic/treatment plan. In the meantime try to disturb her as little as possible, to reduce stress. Good luck.
