Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Female | spayed | 8 years and 10 months old | 100 lbs

Hi team, Greetings I have a Female Labrador and she is having a weird problem under her foot. She is having a extra growth under the foot and that is troubling her to walk properly. And also her nails are growing very rapidly so i have to take her to the vet on every week for trimming. Kindly help me out for the same and also suggest me for the meal plans as well. Thanks in advance

Hello, thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. To me, this looks like a possible autoimmune disease. A biopsy of the pad tissue should be taken and sent for laboratory analysis. In the meantime, you should ask your vet about doing a trial course of steroids (prednisone) - only after the biopsy has been performed. While awaiting results of the testing, you can soak her feet in dilute Betadine solution (1:25 dilution) for 5 minutes three times per day. I'm not really sure what you mean by a "meal plan". If you could post again and clarify what you are looking for (a new food, a supplement for her, how many times a day you feed her, how much food to feed her) - I'm not really sure what you are wanting to know. Thank you!
