Why is my 5-week-old kitten's poop bloody after eating an egg?

My Cat is a approx 5 Week old kitten , I found her outside my home, it was abandoned by her mother, She is with us from like 2 weeks, She Plays, Meows for anything she need, She know her name, But never vaccinated, I want to know, what process I should follow, And today when she pooped is was blood too, attaching pics for same, plz suggest , Yesterday she Ate Boiled Egg,

If Coco ate boiled egg for the first time yesterday, that could cause the blood in her poop. You should have her seen by a vet in the morning for this, as blood in the poop can be very serious. While there, the vet can estimate her age and discuss when to give her the first vaccine, which is usually at around 6-8 weeks of age. I hope this helps!

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! The change is diet is very likely the cause though other things like parasites cannot be ruled out. Blood in the stool is an indication to have her evaluated by a veterinarian. If this continues to be an issue in the next 24-48 hours, have her evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Hopefully she will improve on her own. Hi my cat is 3 weeks old and I’ve been noticing some blood in her stool and I changed her food before 2 times and I’ll change it again because I found out that it’s better quality for her. Do I need to take her to a vet or is it normal.
I would recommend a trip to the vet because blood in the stool is not normal. We can have a variety of reasons for it, including parasites, inflammatory bowel disease, food intolerance, and more. The safest course of action in a cat this young is to have her examined and bring a stool sample along with you if you have one that is recent (past 24 hours) for the vet to test.

My kitten is around 2 months old. Its a persian one. I am feeding her cat food from M-EO bran, small sized biscuits, and also fed her chicken jelly from Whiskas, I stopped giving her chicken jelly because it seemed that she's unable to digest it. Now
It sounds as if Princess has a sensitive GI tract. I would recommend feeding her a food labeled for ‘sensitive stomachs’ or a low fat/low residue diet (usually these have to be purchased from a veterinarian). Some brands I prefer are Hills, Purina and Royal Canin, so I would start with one of those. I would also recommend you take a fecal sample from Princess in to your vet to be examined. Bloody diarrhea can be caused by several things, especially intestinal parasites. If the diarrhea persists for more than 5 days and/or if Princess starts vomiting or stops wanting to eat, you should take her to be examined by your vet to make sure nothing else is going on. A sudden change in diet can lead to bloody stool, and that may be why there was blood in Icy's poop. Keep an eye on her for now, and if you continue to see blood in her poop, have her seen by a vet. Best of luck.

Blood in the stool and diarrhea could be caused by parasites, change in diet, toxin ingestion, infectious viral diseases, blockage in the intestines caused by ingestion of a foreign body, or a mass/growth in the gastrointestinal tract. Please make an appointment to have Smoky seen by a veterinarian as soon as possible, as diarrhea and blood in the stool can lead to dehydration and anemia, and can be very dangerous if left untreated. I recommend taking in a fecal sample from Smoky to your vet as well, as that may aid them in making a diagnosis. Good luck, and I hope he feels better soon!

I would recommend taking your kitten in to be evaluated by a veterinarian. Your kitten is most likely suffering from intestinal parasites, which can cause vomiting and diarrhea. My kitten passed stool and suddenly there her bum was red and it spewed a lil blood . Im a little freaked out what can be the cause?
It looks like Coco may have a small amount of rectal tissue prolapsed. This can occur if they have parasites, chronic diarrhea, foreign body or constipation. I recommend having her checked for intestinal parasites and possibly adding water to her food to help her pass stool more easily. If she is vomiting or showing any other signs of illness she should see a pet ASAP.

Kitten is 6 weeks old. We were feeding her wet food with formula milk and was fine. Fed her Dry food soaked in water and seems like it does not match with her. She had diarrhea a couple times and looks like there is a small amount of blood in it. Vom
Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! Poor Nami! At 6 weeks old Nami should be on 100% kitten food. She no longer needs formula. It could be her diet or the formula causing the diarrhea. Other causes of diarrhea in a kitten are: intestinal parasites and viral or bacterial infections. The blood indicates inflammation in the colon and the blood tends to show up with severe diarrhea or diarrhea occurring for several days. If Nami is eating and no longer vomiting I would eliminate the formula and the food you think upset her stomach. If the diarrhea isn't better in 2 days then bring a stool sample and have her seen by a Vet. If she won't eat or vomits again she needs to be seen. I wish Nami the best!

I'm glad to hear that Dan is still acting like a normal kitten. The signs you are seeing could be from a change in kitten food, the stress of a new home, parasites or other things. If his first stool was hard, maybe it caused some trauma to the area resulting in fresh blood. It may resolve on it's own if it's related to the stress or food change. If it persists, or you see a change in his energy or appetite, I would recommend taking him to your veterinarian. They will most likely want to run a fecal exam to check for parasites and may prescribe medications to treat it.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! I would not give the vaccine if Kitty isn’t feeling well. If she has an infectious disease the vaccine will not prevent it from getting worse. Bloody stool could be from a virus, a bacterial infection, a GI foreign body, or parasites. Even if you have dewormed her, not all dewormers get every parasite. If the bloody stool continues I would recommend borrowing money to have her seen by a vet. Good luck and kisses to Miss Kitty!
