Why is my kitten's poop soft after deworming and vaccination?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Turkish Van | Female | unspayed | 2 months and 4 days old | 1.9 lbs

Sorry but I’ve attached a picture of her poo. She got dewormed and vaccinated on the 14th and a few days before her poo was fine and solid. But now it’s like this and she mews for food a lot - around 6 times a day. Vets aren’t open where I am unless for severe emergency. Would this qualify? She eats whiskas wet food tuna or mackarel only. The vet said to not give dry food for a while. She isn’t lethargic or not eating she is pretty greedy for her food.

Hello, thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Never be sorry about including a photo. We appreciate it! If she is eating and drinking and acting normally I would not consider this an emergency. Give it a couple days to see if the stool firms up. I would not really be worried unless the stool becomes very watery. Hope this helps. Best wishes!
