Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | 2 years and 3 months old | 5 lbs
I submitted a question previously about my cat’s eye problems. He’s seen a vet multiple times and has been prescribed drops and cream four times on refill. Sometimes his eyes look completely fine and then other times he’s staring at me all squinted like this. Then when I stop the meds after he’s better it comes back. He’s also been so irritable and hissing and growling and his appetite sometimes is less and he hides in weird places :( he’s had mouth ulcer problems before as well.

Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. It may be time to request referral to a veterinary ophthamologist if Bean's regular vet has been unable to adequately treat his eye problems. Cat eye infections can start from viral infections so often an anti-viral eye drop or oral medication may be needed in conjunction with antibiotic drops. I hope this helps.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Podgey! It looks like he has conjunctivitis either viral or bacterial or both. I’d have him seen by your Vet Monday or Tuesday for an exam and they can prescribe the appropriate eye medication. I wish Podgey the best!

It sounds like he has a touch of conjunctivitis which is inflammation of the eyelids. I would go to the vet though as with any eye problem there is s risk of the cornea being damaged which can be quite serious. Either way the vet will be able to offer some treatment to help
