Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 2 years and 8 months old | 10 lbs
He was diagnosed with pneumonia right at a month ago. He has had the combo shot twice and has been on interferon for the same amount of time. Some days he's perfectly fine. Acts normal, responds normal, eats normal, etc. But he's having days where, grant his heavy breathing has improved, where his breathing is deeper than normal, he's sleeping more, he acts like he's cold meaning he wants to stay next to the air vent when the heat is on. Is this going to just need time to clear?

It may need time to clear but it is also odd that he is still having problems a month later. I worry that this could be a more severe form of pneumonia or FIP. I would have x-rays repeated on a day when he is not filling well to assess his lungs. You may need to consider advanced diagnostics like an BAL to obtain a culture.
