My 8-year-old cat is losing fur. What causes this and what to do?

My 8 years old cat's hair is falling out too much in last few weeks. I still give her same dry food and cooked chicken. How can I stop it? Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 8 years and 7 months old | 8.8 lbs

This fur loss could be due to fleas, mites, allergies, ringworm, or a medical condition like hyperthyroidism. In order to know how to stop it, the cause has to be diagnosed. I'd take Pshy into the vet to get this diagnosed and treated. Best of luck.
