Hello. The blood in the vomit could be an indication that Candy is developing thrombocytopenia secondary to the infection. Or, she could be going into DIC or Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation. This almost always occurs secondary to some underlying cause, & it results in leakage of vascular tissues. So again, she is very sick & needs attention immediately. Good luck & thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.

Hello. Vomiting blood is a very serious symptom of something. I am very worried that she may have a very bad infection, possibly in her uterus. This is called pyometra & without immediate attention, she could die. Please try to have her seen by a veterinarian as soon as possible. She is a very sick girl. Good luck & thanks for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
