My senior dog has a dry, cracked nose and bloody sneezes. Vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 11 years and 3 months old | 48 lbs

My dog's nose ( he is 10 years old) become very dry and cracked about a week or two ago. He sneezes a lot and sneezed clods of blood twice a few days ago but has stopped now. His behaviour hasn't changed, he drinks water and eats normally. I don't know if this is normal or its something I should be worried about and take him to a vet.

I recommend to call your vet and have Tedy examined. When things develop suddenly, there is a concern that this is a disease. Older dogs can develop autoimmune conditions, hypothyroidism or this could be something like ringworm (which humans can get). Unfortunately, there's not much you can do because Tedy will lick off anything you put on the area. I hope this helps.
