My female dog is dripping clear liquid. Is it urinary incontinence?

Pet's info: Dog | Rottweiler | Female | spayed | 105 lbs

Hi, out 1 year old female Rottweiler started dripping a clear liquid yesterday then today when she got up from her nap her whole leg was wet. Its a clear liquid with no blood or odor. Does this require an emergency trip to the vet? Thank yuo,

No, I don't think it is an emergency but she should see a vet when you can make a regular appointment. My best guess is that she has urinary incontinence. Common in spayed female dogs (especially large breeds) and there is medication that can help them if the problem becomes very frequent.     The fluid could either be urine or discharge from her uterus. I would recommend keeping a close eye on Willow and monitor for any other changes, like decreased appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, or lethargy, and have her checked out when your vet is next available. Possible causes of the fluid include urinary tract infection, uterine infection, start of her heat cycle, among a few other things.
