My hamster is limping. What should I do if I accidentally hurt his foot?

my hamster is limping on his right foot because I accidentally hurt it with my finger what can I do

You should leave him for 30-60 minutes and do not interfere with him. If it was only a minor injury, it should get better within about 1hr. If after that time Timber is still limping or looking in pain, you will have to take him to your local vets to find out what has happened to his leg.

    I'm sorry to hear this, hopefully you have just caused a little bit of inflammation and it will settle quickly. If the hand looks visibly swollen or at a strange angle then potentially it may be broken. Provided no bones are protruding treatment for fractures in hamsters is limited so i don't think there is much your vet would be able to do other than offer some pain relief. You could try ringing your local vet to see if they can prescribe you some, otherwise as long as the hamster is otherwise well, eating and drinking, I would remove any elevation from the cage and let him have some peace and quiet to rest.
