Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Female | spayed | 3 years and 8 months old | 5.7 lbs
My cat has inflamed gums very red, they look to be covering the teeth on one side. She isn't eating as much as usual. Do you have any home remedies we could do for her until we can call the vets on Monday? Unsure how long it's been going on for.

Unfortunately there are no home remedies for this. Inflamed gums can have a variety of different causes- tooth infection, stomatitis, oral tumors, infections and other causes. Aurora will need to see her veterinarian soon for this. She may need a dental cleaning and/or antibiotics or other medications to help resolve this.

I am so sorry that your pet Zhora has such inflamed gums. It looks like she has a case of feline stomatitis (inflammed gums due to an immune response). This is something that will definitely need to be examined by your vet and treated for. The vet can ease his discomfort by giving him a short course of antibiotics and steroids for now, but then discuss permanent solutions with you. Here is more information on this disorder in young cats. https://veterinarypartner.vin.com/default.aspx?pid=19239&id=4951296 I hope that Zhora's discomfort resolves soon. Best wishes and take care.
