My stray cat has swollen face, bloody eye. Can't afford vet. Help!

Hello, my cats half side of his face has been swollen for three days today he had blood on his eye. I desperately need help , I can not afford a vet and he’s a street cat he wont let me touch him but he’s always here so I consider him mine. He does eat and drink so I’m guessing that’s a good sign. Please help, I want to know if I can get him any meds online.

This is a medical emergency and Ismael has to see a vet now. He could have been hit by a car or injured a fight, and leaving this untreated can lead to vision loss. He will also be in a lot of pain from this, and there are no meds you can get online for him. If he won't let you touch him, you wouldn't be able to administer medication anyway. He needs to see a vet immediately for injectable medication. You need to set out a trap to catch him right away. If paying for a vet is an issue, you can see if your vet accepts payment plans, if there is a low cost clinic in your area, or you can apply for Care Credit online. There is also an organization called Red Rover that give grants for treatment of sick animals, and you can see if you qualify for one of their grants.     If this is a street cat and you do not have money to get him treated then you need to call animal control to come get him. They will take him to the shelter and get him treatment. From your description, I would be concerned about an infected tooth root. I would start saving up for a vet visit and possible surgery to remove the tooth if this is the case. I am sorry to hear about this kitty! I would be concerned he could have an abscess https://veterinarypartner.vin.com/default.aspx?pid=19239&id=4951328 caused from a bite from another animal or possibly an infected tooth. Unfortunately this isn't something you can treat at home and he needs a veterinary examination. The abscess may need to be opened/drained and he may need medications to help treat it and make him comfortable. If you are unable to take on his care perhaps animal control or the humane society in your area would be able to help.

Poor kitty! It does sound like he has suffered an injury, and it's quite serious that he isn't going to the bathroom, eating, or drinking. He sounds like he is very painful, and unfortunately he has to see a vet immediately. He will need pain meds, and you cannot give him any human ones. That's because many are toxic to cats, and are fatal if given. In order to treat him correctly, he has to be diagnose by a vet, and there truly isn't anything you can do for him at home. Attempting to self treat him without knowing the cause of his symptoms is never recommended, as you may accidentally do harm to him. I would see if you can find a friend to drive you into a vet now.
