My senior cat has eye discharge, can't afford vet. What can I do?

My 15 yr old cat gets hard crust and snot looking discharge around her eyes constantly. I can't afford to take the poor girl to a vet. What can i do?

Without seeing the eyes myself it is hard to say what the problem could be. She is 15 years old so there are many diseases of the eyes that could be happening. You can try this ophthalmic gel in the eyes once to twice a day to see if it helps but really, she should see a vet. I think you should try to get her in for an exam.
