My kitten in heat has lumps on her nipples and belly. Is this normal?

Hi, my 8 month old kitten has just come into heat. I have only just started to feel her nipples and one of them has a lump underneath, i have also found a lump inbetween her legs which isnt under a nipple. They are rather big and on of them seems to have got bigger in the past two days. She does not go out so isnt pregnant. Pet's info: Cat | British Longhair | Female | unspayed

That may be normal swelling from being in heat but I really cannot tell you without examining her myself. I would be somewhat concerned about these since one lump is not associated with a mammary gland. It is best to have her examined in person by your vet.
