Why is my dog vomiting, weak, not eating, and struggling to breathe?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | unneutered | 5 years and 8 months old | 44 lbs

My dog vomited for 24 hours and then after that, he's been weak and no appetite for 3 days now. He is also having difficulty of breathing that makes him hard to sleep. Is it heat stroke or food poison? Please advise what to do.

Poor guy. I would highly recommend taking Angus in to any available vet asap. Difficulty breathing could indicate a lung issue now which could even suggest that he may have pneumonia since he recently had vomiting episodes. He is considered to be highly unstable and should see a vet right away. I am so sorry your pet is so ill and best of luck finding a vet to see him and get him well. Take care.
