Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 1 year old | 9 lbs
My cat ate a chicken bone about 4 days ago. We took him to the vet yesterday after realizing it wasn’t coming out and he was vomiting. The vet took an X-Ray, I’m not sure about a lot of information as we were not allowed to enter the vet due to COVID concerns. The vet gave us Lactulose and Fibre wet food to attempt a BM, the vet suggested he may need surgery. It’s been 24 hours since his first dose and has no BM. Was the vet right to attempt Lactulose and fibre? He’s still lethargic.

Yes, the vet was right to attempt that first. It's a good idea to try the least invasive treatment before moving onto something more invasive. Given that Charlie hasn't had a BM since on it, it's time to go back into the vet asap. I suspect he will need surgery. I hope this helps!
