Should I worry about my dog's sudden excessive drooling after a walk?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Dogue de Bordeaux | Male | neutered | 4 years old | 115 lbs

After coming back from a walk my Chunk got super drooly all of a sudden more than usual....he was still wanting to eat and drink and he pooped and peed on our walk. He seems to be acting normal otherwise but should i worry about the excessive drooling?? It is almost thin and runny as opposed to the thicker drool he normally has. There is a little drool hanging in this picture it just keeps pouring.

Poor Chunk. Drooling is often a sign of nausea or stress. I would continue to watch him closely and make sure he does not become sick. I would limit his activity for the rest of the day and keep his meals small. If he starts vomiting you may want to have him seen by a veterinarian.
