My cat has a lump on her chest. Could it be something serious?

I’ve noticed a lump on Misty, my cat’s, chest near the top of her front left leg. I can feel it through her fur and it’s roughly the size of a grape. I’m worried it may be something serious.

In a cat Misty's age, there is always a chance any lump is malignant. Any suspicious lumps should be examined by the vet. The vet can perform a test called a fine needle aspirate on it. To do this, the vet sticks a small needle into the lump to get a sample of its cells, and examines the cells on a slide under a microscope. It's usually painless to the animal, and relatively quick to perform. Once the cause of the lump is diagnosed, the vet can discuss treatment options if needed. Give her vet a call to make her an appointment.

Hi as you can see from the attached photo, my cat has a soft-ish lump on her back. It's white with some visible veins on it. I just wanna know if its potentially dangerous or not? (Ive been poking the lump and she is not in any pain whatsoever)

Poor Mog! It is very concerning that this mass has grown rapidly, and she has a poor appetite as well. It would be rare, but there is a possibility she could have a malignant tumor. That would account for the rapid growth and poor appetite, as well as her failing. I would take her into a vet immediately for this growth. Hi I noticed my cat has a hard, callus-like, pink lump on his chest. I have no idea what it is and I’m very worried!

This is often differentiated by a test called a fine needle aspirate (FNA) which is a pain free, inexpensive and easy procedure which in most cases will help reach a diagnosis. Sometimes a biopsy is needed for a definitive diagnosis. I recommend that you have him evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. I am really hoping for something benign.
