Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Female | spayed | 10 years and 10 months old | 65 lbs
Our pitbull x plotthound hurt the tip of her tail through vigorous wagging. While nothing is broken we can’t seem to prevent her from licking at it which is obviously preventing the small wound from healing. We put her in an E-collar but she is long and so is her tail. When unattended she is able to lick at it. Wrapping the wound has been challenging since it’s at the tip of a very waggle tail. Any advii Ice on wrapping this wound so it can heal in peace would be much appreciated.

In this cases, we usually put a tight bandage made of a vet-wrap on the tail, that goes from the tip up to the base of the tail and we change it daily. It is something that is not easy to do and I think you would struggle to do it at home. Please, get in touch with your vet and book a vet or nurse appointment for Gracie.
